Well, we’ve gone and done it. We are, as of July 15th, proud owners of 80 acres in British Columbia, about 15 to 20 minutes north of Dawson Creek. No house, no buildings of any sort. Just trees, grass, a dugout, and our very own waterfall (so they say!), although there was no falling water when we visited. Now comes the inevitable stress of building a house and deciding whether we want to maintain two mortgages and stay in our current home during construction, or move closer so we can enroll the boys in school there and pay rent for the interim. Decisions, decisions, decisions. They are not my forte!
This is the hill on which we’d like to build.
Imagine our surprise when we came across this in the middle of the bush! Apparently, this is our waterfall. I had imagined something less … well, less grand, I guess. I was thinking many little rocks and here was one big bedrock cliff. So cool!
